Wizz Air suspends all flights to Abu Dhabi

Low-cost airline Wizz Air is suspending all flights to Abu Dhabi from September 1 due to operational challenges and geopolitical developments in the Middle East.

As a result, flights from Baku to Abu Dhabi and Gebele to Abu Dhabi will be suspended from September 1.

"Supply chain constraints, geopolitical instability and limited market access have made it increasingly difficult to maintain our original ambitions. While this was a difficult decision, it is the right one given the circumstances," said CEO József Váradi.

Wizz Air will focus on its core markets in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as countries such as Austria, Italy and the UK.
